Job Summary

Gecko Hospitality is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to join a growing fast-casual restaurant concept focused on fresh, healthy food and exceptional guest experiences.

The Shift Leader will work closely with the General Manager and Assistant Manager to oversee daily shift operations, lead and support team members, maintain high service standards, and ensure an outstanding guest experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a restaurant professional who enjoys leading a team and is looking to grow within an expanding restaurant company.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant experience; previous shift leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead, motivate, and support team members
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and providing an excellent guest experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts
• Lead by example and provide outstanding guest service
• Direct, support, and motivate restaurant team members
• Help ensure proper staffing and shift coverage
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, food safety, and service standards
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned
• Ensure team members follow company policies and operational procedures
• Assist with inventory management, food waste control, and cost-conscious operations
• Address guest concerns professionally and effectively
• Ensure smooth and efficient shift transitions
• Maintain a positive, productive, and accountable team environment
• Communicate operational needs and shift performance to management
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members
• Support restaurant sales and operational goals
• Take ownership of shift execution and step in wherever needed
