Title of Position: Service Manager

Job Description: The Service Manager will make sure that the restaurant is set up for success every day and be the ambassador of the restaurant.  The Service Manager will supervise every facet of restaurant operations, will ensure exceptional guest service meeting or exceeding expectations, and will make certain the restaurant is appropriately staffed to satisfy the guest’s needs. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor daily guest service
• Update daily projections and specialty offerings with the service personnel
• Schedule all Service employees and monitor overtime
• Be physically present on the floor during service to ensure service standards
• Guide, direct and train service staff; observe the flow of guests, and provide assistance when necessary
• Assist in expediting smooth seating and guest satisfaction/special requests
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding the pace of service, special needs, and guest satisfaction
• Assist in wine sales and service
• Hire and Train the staff to have comprehensive knowledge of the menu, wine list and service standards     
• Observe staff appearance before and during service and take action as necessary
• Discuss any service procedures that need addressing
• Conduct trainings and staff meetings as needed to clearly communicate expectations to the team

Qualifications:
• Prior Service Manager experience is desirable
• Fine-Dining experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
