We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the operations of a high-energy, fast-casual restaurant in Warwick, RI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a high-volume establishment, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing a team, driving sales, and ensuring the restaurant runs efficiently while upholding the company’s commitment to quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restaurant Operations: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring that every shift runs smoothly, from food preparation to customer service. Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
- Staff Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and motivate a team of employees, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop training programs to promote staff growth and retention
- Customer Experience: Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining a strong focus on food quality, customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Financial Management: Oversee and manage the restaurant’s budget, including P&L, labor costs, and food costs. Monitor daily sales and expenses to meet financial targets and improve profitability
- Inventory & Ordering: Manage inventory, order food and supplies, and ensure the restaurant is adequately stocked. Control waste and reduce costs through efficient inventory management and portion control
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the restaurant adheres to all local health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures. Monitor cleanliness and enforce health and safety guidelines for both the kitchen and dining area
- Staffing & Scheduling: Develop and manage employee schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels, especially during peak hours, while controlling labor costs
- Training & Performance Reviews: Oversee the onboarding and training of new employees, ensuring they meet company standards for service and performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and offer development opportunities
- Operational Efficiency: Continuously evaluate restaurant operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement processes that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the guest experience
- Community Engagement & Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to implement local promotions and community engagement initiatives aimed at driving traffic and building brand awareness in the area
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, fast-casual or quick-service environment
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team of employees
- Strong financial management skills, including experience with P&L, budgeting, and cost control
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive guest experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards
- Proficient in using restaurant management software, POS systems, and scheduling tools
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
