Job Description
We are looking for an assertive, experienced food operator who has the skills to contribute within this catering industry leading company, and has the drive to move up in their career. Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of managing a kitchen including systems, menu procedures, inventory, labor, and food costs. We are looking for an energetic leader who can make a positive impact when it comes to taking care of our customers and just as importantly, taking care of our staff.
The AGM position is also a development role where the overall goal is to move into a GM position of their own Catering Kitchen when they are ready. Skills needed include leading by example, planning, systematic execution, directing, as well as the ability to be developed. A solid working knowledge of technology is necessary as well. Relationship building with our clients and working in tandem with our sales staff is a pre-requisite for success.
AGMs work a Monday-Friday schedule that includes the flexibility of evenings and weekends off! It IS an early morning position, depending on level of business - scheduled shifts will start usually between 4-5am, but by 2-3pm the day is finished. The average number of work hours in a week are between 50-55. Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years current experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high volume (over $2m per year in sales) Catering, Casual Dining or Fast Casual concept
- Kitchen Management experience preferred
- Ability to increase sales and build rapport in the community
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- The Restaurant Manager must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)
