Salary: $90K++



Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the sales and marketing efforts for our full-service hotel. This role is critical in driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and positioning the hotel as a market leader. You will be responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies, managing marketing initiatives, and driving collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong background in hospitality sales, marketing expertise, and exceptional leadership skills.



Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue goals across key market segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and secure corporate accounts, group bookings, and events.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, travel agents, event planners, and other stakeholders to drive repeat business.
  • Oversee and deliver high-quality proposals, contracts, and presentations to potential clients.


Marketing Leadership

  • Design and execute marketing campaigns to promote the hotel’s services, amenities, and special offers.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop engaging digital content, social media strategies, and advertising initiatives.
  • Analyze campaign performance using key metrics to optimize ROI and drive brand awareness.
  • Ensure all promotional activities align with the hotel’s brand identity and target audience.


Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the sales and marketing team, fostering a high-performing, goal-oriented culture.
  • Provide coaching, set measurable objectives, and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure team success.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train team members to continually elevate department capabilities.


Market Analysis and Revenue Management

  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to adjust pricing, promotions, and packages to maximize profit.
  • Leverage customer and market data to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.


Collaboration and Communication

  • Partner with other hotel departments (e.g., Operations, Food & Beverage, and Events) to align sales and marketing efforts.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to align departmental goals with overall hotel objectives.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and drive partnerships.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain a CRM system to track leads, opportunities, and key accounts.
  • Ensure a seamless client experience by actively addressing guest feedback and fostering loyalty programs.
  • Act as the primary liaison for VIP clients, ensuring top-tier service and satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of sales and marketing leadership experience, in the hospitality or travel industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, CRM software, and performance analytics platforms.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi, or similar).
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and creating financial forecasts.
  • Knowledge of local and regional markets is a plus.


Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time on-site role, which requires some evening and weekend availability to attend events, meet clients, or respond to business needs.
