Salary: $50K - $60K + Bonus Potential
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead operations at our select service hotel. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership, a results-driven mindset, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of hospitality industry operations, financial management, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Staff Management
- Oversee all aspects of daily hotel operations, ensuring seamless coordination across departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
- Recruit, train, develop, and mentor staff to provide a cohesive, service-oriented team.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging collaboration and motivation to achieve common goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Guest Experience
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by driving adherence to brand standards and delivering exceptional service at every touch point.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, implementing feedback to improve hotel operations.
- Monitor online reviews, guest surveys, and market trends to continuously refine the guest experience.
Financial Performance
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets to achieve financial targets, including revenue growth and cost control.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, using data to make informed decisions that impact profitability.
- Maximize room occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR) through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure full compliance with all brand standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.
- Uphold the hotel’s commitment to excellence by maintaining operational efficiency and service quality.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property remains well-maintained and presents a positive image to guests.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Manager or senior leadership role within the hospitality, restaurant or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of select service hotel operations, revenue management, and industry trends.
- Track record of achieving financial goals and driving operational performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with staff, guests, and external stakeholders alike.
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and data analysis tools.
