Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Front Office Manager / Sales Manager** to lead our front office operations while driving the property’s sales and marketing initiatives. This dual role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing a highly motivated front office team, and implementing strategic sales efforts to achieve revenue goals. **Key Responsibilities**
Front Office Management
- Oversee all daily front office operations, ensuring seamless check-ins, check-outs, and guest services.
- Lead, train, and mentor the front office team to uphold the brand's high standards of service and hospitality.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance the guest experience and maintain high satisfaction scores.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Manage staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours.
- Maintain accurate records, including financial transactions, reservations, and reports.
Sales and Marketing Management
- Drive room sales through proactive outreach, cold calls, and relationship building with local businesses, corporate accounts, and travel agencies.
- Identify new market opportunities and create tailored promotions to grow revenue.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales and Marketing teams to align with property-wide revenue goals.
- Coordinate with the General Manager to develop and execute an annual sales plan.
- Represent the hotel at local networking events, trade shows, and community organizations to promote the property and build strong partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and sales metrics to adjust strategies accordingly.
Integration of Front Office and Sales Functions
- Work closely with the hotel team to ensure front office staff is knowledgeable about special promotions, group bookings, and target markets.
- Monitor and improve the coordination between front desk and sales efforts to upsell rooms and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Develop initiatives to cross-train staff, creating a unified team approach across guest services and sales.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years in a hotel management position, with experience in front office operations and sales preferred.
- Proven leadership skills in a hospitality environment, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue management practices and sales strategies.
- Proficiency in front office software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, or similar systems) and CRM tools.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations.
