Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Banquet Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for events of all sizes. The Banquet Chef will play a critical role in menu creation, food preparation, and event execution, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in banquet or large-scale food preparation, culinary innovation, and team management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Planning and Development: Design and customize menus tailored to specific event themes, guest preferences, and dietary requirements while maintaining budgetary goals.
  • Food Preparation and Execution: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, production, and plating to ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and manage a dedicated culinary team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Quality and Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with event planners, front-of-house staff, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination for banquet events.
  • Inventory and Budget Management: Monitor food inventory, control costs, and ensure proper portioning to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Creative Innovation: Introduce fresh culinary ideas and innovative presentations to enhance banquet offerings and elevate guest experiences.


Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Formal culinary training from an accredited institution; a degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in banquet or high-volume food preparation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional culinary skills, with proficiency in various cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistent quality.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand and exceed client expectations, ensuring guest satisfaction at every event.
  • Certifications: Current ServSafe certification or equivalent food handler safety training.
