Are you ready to lead one of the most exciting new restaurant openings in Detroit? We’re searching for an experienced and passionate General Manager to launch and lead our highly anticipated location in the heart of District Detroit near the Theatre District. What You’ll Do
- Lead all front and back-of-house operations to deliver a world-class dining experience
- Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team, including FOH and BOH leadership
- Drive exceptional service standards, food quality, and guest satisfaction
- Partner with the Executive Chef on cost control, forecasting, purchasing, and product quality
- Manage budgets, labor, and profitability while tracking key performance metrics
- Oversee and execute local marketing initiatives, events, and promotions
- Analyze and manage monthly P&L statements and participate in the annual budgeting process
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and labor planning
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Monitor all vendor relationships and inventory systems for food, beverage, and supplies
- Build strong ties in the local community and stay attuned to market trends and opportunities
- Serve as the face of the restaurant, creating memorable guest interactions and driving loyalty
What You Bring
- Minimum of 3–5 years of General Manager experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and retain top talent across FOH and BOH
- Deep understanding of financials, budgets, labor, and inventory management
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience managing new openings and implementing systems a plus
- Commitment to service excellence and team development
- Knowledge of Southeast Asian cuisine or global flavors is a bonus
- Ability to work long hours on your feet and lift up to 75 pounds
