Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager
Location: Temecula, CA
Compensation: $72,000 – $75,000 annually (DOE) + full benefits package
About the Opportunity
A highly regarded restaurant in Temecula’s wine country is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support day-to-day operations and team leadership. This hands-on position helps oversee front-of-house performance, guest experience, scheduling, and administrative functions in a refined, service-driven setting surrounded by vineyards.

Schedule
- Full-time, Wednesday through Sunday
- Must be available for weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Guest Service
- Lead FOH service during peak hours to ensure excellent guest experiences
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of FOH team members
- Monitor food and beverage quality in coordination with the Chef
- Ensure smooth table service and guest engagement
- Respond to and resolve guest issues with professionalism
- Enforce proper cash handling and nightly reporting procedures
Operations & Compliance
- Maintain high standards in cleanliness, food safety, and staff compliance
- Ensure proper scheduling and timekeeping accuracy
- Manage side work, opening/closing procedures, and associate breaks
- Oversee purchase orders, inventory, tip sheets, and EOD reporting
Administrative Duties
- Utilize reporting tools for payroll, labor, and sales tracking
- Assist in compiling and submitting reports to management and HR
- Leverage Excel, POS (Toast/Aloha), OpenTable, and related systems
- Maintain up-to-date staff schedules and performance documentation
Preferred Background
- 3+ years in hospitality or restaurant leadership
- Solid understanding of fine dining or upscale casual environments
- Familiarity with wine, beverage service, and hospitality etiquette
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse FOH team
- Strong decision-making and multitasking ability
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Riverside County food handler and alcohol certification (or ability to obtain)
