Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000 + Comprehensive Bonus Plan


We’re hiring two Sous Chefs for a highly anticipated rooftop restaurant opening this October in downtown Birmingham. This new 157-seat concept situated atop a luxury, four-story design destination features contemporary American classics with a refined, ingredient-driven twist.


With 23 locations, 4 more on the way, and 10 additional restaurants in development, this is an incredible opportunity to join a growing, design-forward hospitality brand. Training kicks off July 21, and we’re moving quickly to build a world-class opening team.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead BOH operations in a high-volume, open-kitchen environment
  • Train, develop, and inspire a kitchen team of 50+ hourly staff and support the hiring of 100+ team members
  • Ensure consistency and quality by executing a proven, streamlined menu and prep system
  • Maintain excellence in food safety, cleanliness, organization, and health code standards
  • Collaborate closely with front-of-house leaders to deliver seamless service and memorable guest experiences
  • Support daily operations including prep, production, line execution, and service timing
  • Manage cost controls, waste reduction, inventory systems, and vendor relationships
  • Assist in training, onboarding, and the implementation of systems to ensure smooth opening and long-term scalability


What You Bring

  • 2+ years of leadership in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen
  • Experience in upscale casual, polished dining, or corporate concepts with strong culinary systems
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and retain hourly team members
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  • High standards for cleanliness, efficiency, and product quality
  • Strong tenure and a track record of upward mobility within prior roles
  • Experience with new restaurant openings or large kitchen teams preferred
