About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Hotel General Manager to lead our team at Hampton Inn. This pivotal leadership role demands a proven track record of excellence, particularly within Hampton Inn properties. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, operational expertise, and a commitment to exceptional guest service to drive the continued success of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functionality across departments, including housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Maintain Hampton Inn’s renowned standards of hospitality, fostering a welcoming environment that drives guest loyalty and satisfaction scores.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of department heads and associates to achieve operational excellence and a positive workplace culture.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities to maximize revenue while maintaining competitive market positioning.
  • Brand Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Hampton Inn standards, policies, and quality assurance guidelines, consistently achieving or exceeding brand expectations.
  • Strategic Planning: Implement short- and long-term strategies for business growth, enhanced market share, and operational efficiency.
  • Problem Solving: Handle guest concerns, operational challenges, and unforeseen issues promptly and professionally to maintain smooth operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPAR), and employee turnover, taking proactive measures to address areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience, with at least 3 years as a General Manager at a Hampton Inn property. Familiarity with Hilton's operational systems and standards is required.
  • Tenure: Demonstrated stability in prior roles, with a history of consistent tenure that reflects dedication and effective leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to use data-driven decisions to manage budgets, improve performance, and address operational challenges effectively.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relay information across all levels of the organization.

Skills

  • Proficient in property management systems, with a preference for Hilton’s OnQ platform.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of revenue management and sales strategies to drive business outcomes.
  • Adept at problem-solving, with strong decision-making and conflict-resolution capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
