A high-profile, modern Japanese concept in Miami Beach is looking for its next Izakaya Chef—a culinary leader who thrives on the fire, the finesse, and the fast pace of a real izakaya-style kitchen. No corporate menus. No tourist-trap shortcuts. Just real ingredients, real technique, and real creative influence.


What You’ll Own


  • Running the kitchen like it’s your dojo—clean, disciplined, and alive
  • Designing and plating seasonally driven small plates rooted in Japanese tradition
  • Commanding a yakitori and robata station using binchotan with precision
  • Collaborating with front-of-house on sake-forward pairing experiences
  • Training and mentoring your brigade while managing prep, mise en place, and daily ordering
  • Upholding high standards for food safety and sanitation


The Skills We’re After


  • 5+ years in a serious Japanese kitchen—izakaya, kaiseki, omakase, or fine dining
  • Strong knife skills and fish butchery
  • Mastery of traditional cooking techniques (nimono, agemono, yakimono)
  • Hands-on experience with binchotan and charcoal grilling
  • A deep understanding of seasonality and Japanese ingredients
  • Fluent in English and Japanese


Bonus Points If You’ve:


  • Trained in Japan or under a Japanese master chef
  • Worked in Michelin-starred or high-end kitchens
  • Built and led disciplined, high-performing teams
  • Strong knowledge of sake, shochu, and pairing logic
