Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Restaurant Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations, ensure top-notch food quality, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to build a cohesive team.
  • Oversee daily food preparation, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across all menu items.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control costs and minimize waste while maintaining supply levels.
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and front-of-house team to streamline operations, resolve issues, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor kitchen budgets, labor costs, and P&L elements specific to back-of-house to achieve financial targets.
  • Implement menu updates, specials, and process improvements to boost efficiency and innovation.
  • Handle equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role in a fast casual or quick-service restaurant setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, including food cost management, inventory systems, and POS integration.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Current food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) and familiarity with local health codes.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or related certification is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and reside in or near Spokane, WA.
