Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Restaurant Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations, ensure top-notch food quality, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to build a cohesive team.
- Oversee daily food preparation, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across all menu items.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control costs and minimize waste while maintaining supply levels.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and front-of-house team to streamline operations, resolve issues, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
- Monitor kitchen budgets, labor costs, and P&L elements specific to back-of-house to achieve financial targets.
- Implement menu updates, specials, and process improvements to boost efficiency and innovation.
- Handle equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role in a fast casual or quick-service restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, including food cost management, inventory systems, and POS integration.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Current food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) and familiarity with local health codes.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or related certification is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the US and reside in or near Spokane, WA.
