About the Opportunity
A destination brewpub located in the heart of Idyllwild is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to lead front-of-house operations in a high-volume, service-driven environment. Known for its handcrafted beer, elevated cocktails, and chef-driven cuisine, this rustic-yet-modern restaurant welcomes both locals and visitors year-round. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in guest-facing settings, leads by example, and keeps teams running smoothly in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Service Operations
Oversee and execute daily FOH opening and closing procedures
Support service flow and coordination with bar and kitchen teams
Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready front-of-house areas
Team Leadership
Lead servers, hosts, and support staff with confidence and professionalism
Provide in-the-moment coaching and support during shifts
Reinforce service standards and foster a culture of hospitality
Guest Experience
Engage with guests during service to ensure satisfaction
Address complaints and special requests with empathy and efficiency
Maintain a high standard of hospitality and personalized service
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and cleanliness standards
Monitor public and staff areas for sanitation and organization
Communication & Coordination
Act as liaison between front and back of house
Support host team in managing guest flow and table turns
Ensure dietary/allergy communications are accurately handled
Ideal Candidate Profile
1–2+ years of FOH management experience in a full-service or brewpub setting
Strong leadership, communication, and guest service instincts
Calm and solutions-focused under pressure
Solid understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations
Ability to build team rapport and lead by example
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Comfortable living in or commuting regularly to Idyllwild, CA
Environment
Located in a scenic mountain town with steady local and tourist traffic
On-site role in a recently renovated, high-volume brewpub
Work with a collaborative, tight-knit team passionate about hospitality
