Job Title: Director of Finance

Location: North Lake Tahoe, CA

Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 (plus bonus and relocation assistance)

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance to join our leadership team in the breathtaking North Lake Tahoe area. As the Director of Finance, you will oversee all financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions, ensuring the organization’s fiscal health and long-term sustainability. You will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and supporting key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and growth objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure accurate forecasting.
• Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
• Financial Operations:
• Oversee accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, investments, and risk management strategies.
• Team Leadership:
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the organization’s assets.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Partner with department heads to align financial planning with operational goals.
• Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in hospitality, tourism, or a similar industry is a plus.
