Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team and support the efficient operation of our hotel. This leadership role is crucial to maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and employee engagement. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will serve as a key liaison between departments, ensuring seamless coordination and adherence to established policies.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in hospitality management, strong leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve the overall guest experience, ensuring any complaints or service issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies across all operational areas.
Financial Performance
- Budget Assistance: Work with the General Manager to plan and manage the hotel’s operational budget to align with revenue and expense targets.
- Revenue Monitoring: Assist in analyzing financial data, setting room rates, and planning promotional initiatives to boost overall profitability.
- Cost Management: Monitor operating expenses and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Leadership and Staff Management
- Team Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to department managers and their teams to achieve performance goals and maintain operational effectiveness.
- Training and Development: Oversee staff training programs to enhance skills, ensure compliance with service protocols, and foster professional growth within the team.
- Employee Engagement: Promote a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and recognizing outstanding performance.
Strategic Support
- Collaboration with the GM: Work closely with the General Manager to develop and execute long-term strategies that align with the hotel’s goals and vision.
- Problem-Solving: Take an active role in resolving any operational challenges or escalated issues.
- Reports and Communication: Prepare regular operational and financial reports for upper management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to manage teams, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate staff.
