Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our entertainment complex and park facility in beautiful San Marcos, Texas. This position has a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $62,000 annually, and includes on-site housing as part of the compensation package. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and passion for guest satisfaction, while playing a pivotal role in our success.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring the facility provides exceptional experiences for guests and fosters a strong connection to the local community.
Responsibilities include:
Leadership & Management
- Direct and support department heads, including front desk, repair and maintenance, entertainment, and park staff, to meet organizational goals.
- Create a positive, team-oriented work culture through consistent communication and motivation.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to maintain high operational standards.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure service excellence and professional growth.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee all facility, entertainment, and park operations to ensure efficiency, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline operations and elevate service delivery.
- Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize revenue streams across hospitality and park services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations at all times.
Guest Experience
- Foster a customer-centric environment by addressing guest feedback quickly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and repeat visits.
- Monitor guest reviews and implement changes to improve service quality.
- Implement initiatives that attract new patrons and enhance guest loyalty.
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, and community organizations to promote the facility as a local destination.
- Represent the property at events and maintain a positive public image.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in both hospitality management and guest services, combined with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Key qualifications include:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel, resort, or multi-service facility management.
- Proven track record in leading diverse teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with property management systems, entertainment scheduling, and park maintenance is a plus.
