Engineer Position Overview:

Pay Scale: $26-$29 per Hour

Shift: Evening

Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on essential hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, ensuring peak performance.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks across the property, addressing potential issues before they impact operations or guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the physical integrity of the hotel, including interior and exterior spaces, equipment, and structures, reflecting our high standards of quality.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including fire codes, building standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Update and enforce safety protocols, providing training to staff as needed to maintain a secure environment for guests and employees.

Operational Excellence

• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unexpected disruptions.
• Monitor energy usage and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency while maintaining guest comfort.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage repair projects and secure necessary materials.
• Offer technical expertise and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Guest Experience

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, minimizing inconvenience and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain the hotel’s appearance and functionality to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience in facility maintenance, ideally within the hospitality or a related industry (5+ years preferred).
• Technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or general building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and energy management practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to foster collaboration across departments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in upscale hotels or large-scale hospitality operations.
• Familiarity with advanced energy management systems and eco-friendly practices.
• Knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS).
