About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the team at our premier $10 million annual revenue restaurant in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a history of success in high-volume, fast-paced dining environments. You will be responsible for upholding our standards of excellence, driving operational efficiency, and cultivating a positive and high-performing team culture. As the General Manager, you will have complete oversight of all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience and sustained profitability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless execution during all service periods. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to optimize workflow and productivity across a large, multi-faceted team.
  • Financial Management: Assume full P&L responsibility, including budget creation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Manage labor costs, control operational expenses, and implement strategies to maximize revenue and achieve financial targets. Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Team Development & Management: Lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing development of all managers and hourly staff. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement through regular performance evaluations, coaching, and mentorship. Schedule management and staff effectively to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs.
  • Guest Experience Excellence: Champion a guest-centric culture, ensuring every patron receives exceptional service. Proactively address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and efficiency. Monitor service standards and guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure the restaurant operates in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and sanitation standards. Maintain a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant, with at least 3 years in a General Manager role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing restaurants with annual revenues exceeding $8 million is required.
  • Proven financial acumen with extensive experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large and diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A deep understanding of service standards, food and beverage quality, and restaurant operations.
  • Proficiency with restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A commitment to hospitality and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Experience in the Austin, TX hospitality market is highly preferred.
  • TABC and Food Manager certifications are required.
