Position Overview
A growing fast casual restaurant concept in Riverside is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high performing hospitality team. This role is ideal for a hands on leader who enjoys working alongside the team while maintaining strong operational standards and guest experience.
The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager and is expected to step in as the acting lead when needed. This position offers strong training exposure across both front and back of house and is designed for career growth within restaurant leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain full knowledge of the menu ingredients and allergens to guide guests and make recommendations
Operate and oversee point of sale systems and order flow
Support guest experience by assisting with table clearing sanitation and service needs
Manage daily shifts including scheduling breaks time punches food prep dish flow and service execution
Learn and perform all back of house positions and step in when business levels require
Ensure restaurant cleanliness inside and outside including daily organization and deep cleaning
Hold yourself and the team accountable to company policies procedures and service standards
Support the General Manager with administrative and leadership responsibilities
Assume General Manager duties when the GM is off or unavailable
Assist with additional operational tasks as assigned
Ideal Candidate Profile
Previous experience in fast casual or full service restaurant management
Hands on leadership style with strong accountability
Comfortable managing shift operations and team performance
Strong guest service and communication skills
Ability to work across front and back of house operations
Organized detail oriented and team focused
Experience with POS systems sanitation standards and food safety
