About Bubba's 33 Bubba's 33 is a high-energy sports restaurant owned by Texas Roadhouse, combining legendary scratch cooking with an exciting game-day atmosphere. We're known for our made-from-scratch kitchen, hand-cut steaks, craft burgers, specialty pizzas, and signature wings - all prepared fresh daily in a high-volume environment serving 6,000-7,000 guests per week.

The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant operations at our Taylor, Auburn Hills, and Madison Heights locations. This is more than just a General Manager role - it's a pathway to becoming a Managing Partner as we execute our aggressive growth plans.

As General Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of restaurant operations - from kitchen excellence to guest experience, team development to financial performance. You'll lead both front and back-of-house teams, drive profitability, and create a culture of overwhelming hospitality. Most importantly, you'll position yourself for Managing Partner opportunities as we continue our expansion.


What You'll Do

Complete Restaurant Leadership:

  • Direct all restaurant operations including kitchen, dining room, bar, and guest experience
  • Ensure consistent execution of Bubba's 33 standards for food quality, service, and atmosphere
  • Oversee high-volume operations serving 6,000-7,000 guests weekly with $110-$130k weekly sales
  • Maintain operational excellence across all day parts and service periods
  • Lead by example with hands-on presence in both front and back-of-house operations

Team Leadership & Culture:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop management team and hourly staff across all positions
  • Build and maintain a strong leadership team including Kitchen Managers and Service Managers
  • Create positive, team-oriented culture focused on quality, hospitality, and collaboration
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to develop future leaders
  • Schedule all management and coordinate staffing to meet business needs while controlling labor costs

Financial Performance & Business Management:

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic planning and execution
  • Manage complete P&L responsibility including food costs, labor, and all controllable expenses
  • Control costs while maintaining quality standards and appropriate staffing levels
  • Analyze financial metrics and implement action plans to improve performance
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning

Guest Experience & Community:

  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences that drive repeat business and positive reputation
  • Build relationships with local community and create loyal guest following
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and turn challenges into opportunities
  • Lead initiatives to improve guest satisfaction and overall experience
  • Maintain visible presence on the floor during peak service periods

Operations & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain proper food safety protocols and scratch-cooking standards
  • Oversee facility maintenance and equipment readiness
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized restaurant environment

Partnership Development:

  • Demonstrate Managing Partner potential through business ownership mindset
  • Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with Texas Roadhouse corporate leadership
  • Participate in market and regional initiatives as company expands

What You Bring

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years as General Manager or 5+ years in multi-unit/senior leadership in high-volume, full-service restaurants
  • Proven track record managing $5M+ annual sales volumes in full-service environment
  • Scratch kitchen experience strongly preferred - deep understanding of made-from-scratch operations
  • Experience with concepts like BJ's Restaurant, Yard House, Longhorn Steakhouse, other Darden concepts, Red Robin, Outback Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, Chili's, Applebee's, or similar high-volume corporate or high-volume independent restaurants
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management, cost controls, and driving profitability
  • Strong history of building and developing high-performing teams
  • ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain immediately)

Leadership & Business Skills:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership mentality - you think and act like a business owner
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams of 75-100+ employees
  • Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing P&Ls and driving business results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff, guests, and corporate partners
  • Strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term planning
  • Calm under pressure with exceptional problem-solving abilities

What We Offer

Competitive Total Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $80,000+ annually (commensurate with experience)
  • Monthly Bonus Program: Earn $20,000 - $40,000+ annually in performance-based bonuses
  • Total Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000+ per year
  • Bonus paid monthly based on restaurant performance
