Overview
We are seeking a distinguished Director of Housekeeping to join our executive team at a premier luxury property. This role demands a leader who understands that true luxury lies in the details. The Director of Housekeeping will be responsible for ensuring a flawless guest experience and service-driven operation, adhering to exacting standards and maintaining strict compliance with Forbes Five-Star service requirements.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Effectively lead the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments by coaching and inspiring a large, diverse team with empathy and accountability.
- Standards Excellence: Oversee operational details that elevate the guest experience by upholding Forbes Five-Star standards across all touchpoints, including guest rooms, suites, and public areas.
- Resource Management: Maintain labor, inventory, and resources with strict financial discipline. Oversee comprehensive linen programs and equipment lifecycles to ensure operational efficiency.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: collaborate seamlessly with other departments to ensure the unique operational needs of VIPs and High-Profile guests are met with discretion and precision.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure familiarity with the employee handbook and adhere to all rules and regulations. Maintain strict oversight of policies relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety, and respond decisively in any emergency or safety situation.
Qualifications

- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in Housekeeping is required, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Luxury or Forbes Five-Star experience is mandatory.
- Flexibility: The ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation.
- Management Skills: Must demonstrate the ability to manage colleagues effectively, show initiative in job performance, and handle complex workplace challenges with professionalism.
- Financial Acumen: Must possess the ability to work with and understand financial information, data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
