This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who can bring energy, build trust, and turn conversations into booked events. Our Company is a Houston jazz club at night, and they’re focused on filling their event space during the day with corporate gatherings, celebrations, and private bookings. You’ll be out in the community building partnerships, generating leads, and keeping a strong pipeline moving. The venue has standout features that help you sell the experience, including a versatile prep kitchen that can support virtually any cuisine and a 20x10 audio wall that makes events feel next-level. Compensation includes a base salary of $50,000-$60,000 plus 3%-4% commission based on performance. Hours are flexible, partial remote work is acceptable, and onsite client engagement is required when they’re in the space. Title of Position: Group Sales Manager
Job Description: The Group Sales Manager will drive daytime event revenue by prospecting, networking, and generating new group and private event business for the venue. This role will spend meaningful time in the field building relationships with local businesses, organizations, hotels, and community partners to create a steady pipeline of bookings. The Sales Manager will respond to inbound inquiries, qualify leads, and convert them into contracted events while managing the full sales cycle. They will conduct site tours, present event options, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure each booking is executed smoothly. This position requires onsite engagement with clients during key moments, including walkthroughs, event days as needed, and relationship-building visits. The Sales Manager will track activity, pipeline, and results consistently using the CRM, with the team exploring TripleSeat as the platform.

Qualifications:
· Experience in event coordinating (must-have)
· 2+ years of event sales, group sales, venue sales, or related business development experience
· Comfortable prospecting and building relationships in the community (not just working inbound leads)
· Strong follow-up and organization skills; able to manage a pipeline consistently
· CRM experience preferred (TripleSeat a plus)
· Ability to be onsite when clients are in the space and during key event moments
