Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Restaurants to oversee the operations of 7+ restaurants, bars, and room service outlets, generating approximately $30 million in annual revenue. This role is responsible for leading a team of 10 direct reports, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality, a proven track record in multi-unit management, and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of all restaurants, bars, and room service outlets, ensuring consistency in quality, service, and guest experience.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all outlets.
Financial Management
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize revenue and control costs.
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and labor costs to align with business needs and financial targets.
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage and mentor 10 direct reports, including restaurant managers and supervisors.
- Recruit, train, and develop hourly staff and management teams, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Conduct annual performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to drive individual and team success.
Guest Experience
- Champion a guest-first culture, ensuring all outlets deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to address concerns and enhance satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute innovative promotions and events that attract and retain guests.
Marketing & Brand Management
- Partner with internal and external marketing teams to develop and execute campaigns that drive traffic and revenue.
- Ensure all outlets align with brand standards and deliver a cohesive guest experience.
- Leverage data and insights to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation in the market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in multi-unit restaurant or hospitality management, with a proven track record of overseeing $20M+ in annual revenue.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing and developing large teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling, payroll systems, and restaurant management software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
