Job Description

Corporate Business Attorney

Location: Dallas, Texas

Salary: $125K - $175K

About the Opportunity

We are a premier franchise organization operating a diverse portfolio of over 1,100 locations across 29 states. As leaders in the hospitality and multi-unit retail sector, we continue to expand our footprint through strategic acquisitions and operational excellence. We are seeking top-tier talent to support our robust growth trajectory.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Corporate Business Attorney to serve as a strategic legal partner to our organization. This role provides practical, business-focused legal guidance across a large, multi-entity, franchise-driven portfolio.

You will support corporate leadership and field operations by advising on commercial matters, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and contract management. The ideal candidate effectively balances legal rigor with operational pragmatism and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Experience with franchise law, mergers and acquisitions, or transactional law is highly valuable. Confidence, adaptability, and the ability to execute independently are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

As a Corporate Business Attorney, you will provide legal counsel across a wide spectrum of corporate and operational matters. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contract Management: Negotiate and draft a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts and real estate documents.
  • Corporate Governance: Manage corporate formation, filings, and maintenance for entities in Texas and other jurisdictions.
  • Franchise Relations: Advise on franchise-related issues, ensuring compliance with franchise agreements and disclosure requirements.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with Operations, HR, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, IT, and Supply Chain departments to assess risk and support sound business decisions.
  • Compliance & Risk: Develop, interpret, and enforce company policies while managing legal risk across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist with dispute management, regulatory inquiries, and coordination with external counsel as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Licensure: Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Experience: 5+ years of legal experience practicing business, corporate, or transactional law.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience supporting multi-entity organizations, franchising, hospitality, or retail environments is strongly preferred. Tax experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting capabilities.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable business guidance for stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfort operating in a high-growth, operationally complex environment.

Benefits

We believe that high-performing legal talent drives organizational success. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth and personal well-being:

  • Competitive Compensation: We reward talent and hard work with a competitive salary structure.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive coverage including HSA, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance plans.
  • Retirement Planning: 401(k) with company match to help you invest in your future.
  • Generous Time Off: Up to 16 paid vacation and sick days, plus 7 company holidays.
  • Perks: Complimentary lunch provided daily and discounts across our brand portfolio.
  • Career Advancement: We are a high-growth organization with a strong culture of promoting from within.
