A highly regarded fine dining restaurant in Palm Desert is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all front and back of house operations. Position Overview
The General Manager has full responsibility for restaurant operations including service execution, team leadership, financial performance, and overall guest satisfaction.
This leader will oversee both front of house and back of house coordination, ensuring seamless service, strong communication, and consistent standards across the restaurant.
The role requires a hands on operator who can lead during service, maintain a strong presence with guests, and drive results through leadership and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee all daily restaurant operations including service, staffing, and shift execution
Maintain high standards for service, hospitality, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
Lead from the floor during service to ensure consistency and attention to detail
Financial Performance
Manage profit and loss including labor, cost controls, and overall restaurant profitability
Drive revenue through strong service execution and guest retention
Analyze business performance and implement strategies to improve results
Team Development
Recruit, hire, train, and develop both front of house and management teams
Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality excellence
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members
Guest Experience
Ensure every guest receives a polished and memorable dining experience
Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism
Build relationships with regular guests and foster repeat business
Collaboration
Work closely with the Executive Chef to align service and culinary execution
Partner with ownership and leadership on operational strategy and performance goals
Ensure clear communication between front and back of house teams
Quality and Standards
Maintain strict adherence to service standards, cleanliness, and health regulations
Ensure consistency in execution across all shifts
Uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence in both food and service
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments
Proven leadership as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader
Strong understanding of restaurant financials including P and L management
Exceptional guest service and hospitality mindset
Ability to lead and develop high performing teams
Strong communication and organizational skills
