Overview
A growing, high energy restaurant group in San Diego is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of its flagship locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong hospitality leader who thrives in a fast paced, high volume environment and knows how to build culture, develop teams, and drive restaurant performance.
The ideal candidate is a hands on operator with a passion for guest experience, strong people leadership skills, and a track record of leading successful restaurant teams. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys being in the action, setting the tone for the team, and creating an atmosphere where both guests and employees want to return.
Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the restaurant, including daily operations, team development, guest satisfaction, and financial results.
This leader will drive a culture of accountability, hospitality, and execution while partnering with senior leadership to support growth and long term success.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead all daily restaurant operations with a strong presence on the floor
Drive excellence in hospitality, service, food quality, and cleanliness
Ensure smooth execution during high volume shifts and peak business periods
Maintain operational standards and consistency across all dayparts
Team Leadership and Development
Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high performing management and hourly team
Build a strong culture rooted in professionalism, energy, and accountability
Create a workplace where team members feel supported, challenged, and motivated to grow
Lead by example and set clear expectations for performance and behavior
Guest Experience
Ensure every guest has a memorable and positive dining experience
Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and urgency
Build community and repeat business by creating strong connections with guests
Financial Performance
Drive top line sales and overall restaurant profitability
Manage labor, cost controls, and day to day financial performance
Use reporting and restaurant metrics to make strong operational decisions
Support achievement of bonus and performance targets
Leadership Profile
Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and rally a team
Passion for hospitality, food, and guest experience
High volume restaurant management experience required
