Position Overview
We're seeking a Hotel Director of Finance to lead the financial strategy behind a property where performance, precision, and guest experience all depend on strong numbers. This isn't a back-office role. It's a seat at the leadership table.
As Director of Finance, you'll own the financial health of the hotel and partner directly with the General Manager and senior team to guide decisions that shape the property's future. You'll bring clarity to the P&L, structure to the budget, and confidence to every conversation about where the business is headed. If you understand how finance drives operations in hospitality, this role gives you the scope to prove it.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Produce accurate, timely financial statements and management reports that give leadership a clear view of performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Build annual budgets and ongoing forecasts that reflect operational realities and support smart, forward-looking decisions.
- P&L Oversight: Own the property's profit and loss performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across all revenue streams and cost centers.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to protect liquidity and keep daily operations running smoothly.
- Audit and Compliance: Maintain strong internal controls, oversee audits, and ensure compliance with tax requirements, brand standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Financial Strategy: Partner with the General Manager and department heads, turning financial insight into practical strategy that improves margins and supports growth.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, setting clear standards and building bench strength for the long term.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality finance, ideally in a leadership or director-level role.
- Proficiency in hotel accounting systems and financial management software.
- Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and P&L management.
- Sharp analytical skills paired with the ability to communicate clearly across operational and executive teams.
- A leadership style grounded in accuracy, accountability, and sound judgment.
Why Join Us
Finance leaders rarely get the credit when a property performs well, but they're always the first to feel it when things slip. Here, your work is seen and valued. You'll have the authority to shape strategy, the support of a leadership team that respects financial discipline, and a property that treats sound numbers as the foundation of great hospitality.
This is a role with real influence and a clear path forward. You'll grow your leadership scope, deepen your impact on the business, and help build something that lasts.
If you're ready to bring your hospitality finance expertise to a property that understands its value, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
