Regional Director of Hotel Operations

Rockport, Texas

Salary: $110K-$140K ++

Relocation: Negotiable

Position Overview

We're seeking a seasoned Regional Director of Hotel Operations to lead a portfolio of seven to 10 hotels across Texas. This is a senior multi-property leadership role for an executive who knows how to drive performance at scale, develop strong General Managers, and protect the guest experience that defines a great brand. You'll own the operational and financial health of every property in your region, set the strategic direction, and build the kind of leadership culture that keeps top talent and loyal guests coming back.

If you've built a reputation for turning steady properties into standouts, this role gives you the scope and autonomy to do it across an entire market.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Oversee daily operations across all properties in your portfolio, ensuring consistent service delivery, smooth coordination, and operational excellence at every location.
  • Own P&L accountability for the region, driving revenue growth, managing costs, and delivering on budget targets across each hotel.
  • Drive financial performance by analyzing results, identifying opportunities, and putting clear plans in place to improve RevPAR, occupancy, and profitability.
  • Lead and develop General Managers and property teams, coaching them to perform, holding them accountable, and building a bench of leaders ready for their next step.
  • Uphold brand and quality standards through regular property visits, audits, and inspections, ensuring full compliance with brand requirements and safety regulations.
  • Champion guest satisfaction initiatives, monitoring feedback across properties and acting quickly to resolve issues and raise service scores.
  • Lead strategic planning for the region, partnering with ownership and senior leadership on growth, capital improvements, and long-term performance goals.
  • Manage cross-property collaboration, sharing best practices, standardizing processes where it counts, and creating efficiencies across the portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years in hotel management, with proven multi-unit or multi-property leadership experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, including hands-on P&L ownership, budgeting, and revenue management across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated success developing and leading General Managers and property teams.
  • Deep understanding of brand standards, quality assurance, and operational compliance.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the Texas portfolio.
  • Familiarity with the Texas hotel market preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing branded and select-service or full-service properties.
  • Track record of improving underperforming properties and sustaining results over time.
  • Proficiency with hotel management platforms such as Opera or comparable systems.

Why Join Us

This is a role for a leader who wants real scope and the autonomy to use it. You'll oversee a full Texas portfolio, shape strategy, and leave a clear mark on performance, culture, and guest experience across every property you touch.

We respect the experience you bring. You'll work alongside ownership and senior leaders who value strong operators, reward results, and back you with the resources to succeed. For an executive ready to step into broader regional leadership, this is a chance to grow your reputation and your impact at the same time.

If this aligns with where you want to take your career, we'd welcome a confidential conversation. Apply today by sending your resume to jay@geckohospitality.com
