About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Dining Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of a high-volume retail dining and marketplace environment. This leadership role is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving operational excellence, financial performance, team development, food safety, and merchandising.

Position Overview
The Dining Operations Manager is responsible for leading a seven-day-a-week dining operation that includes grab-and-go offerings, fresh food, grocery items, beverages, and retail merchandise. This position oversees daily operations, staffing, inventory management, financial performance, merchandising, and customer satisfaction while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
Lead all daily dining and retail operations
Maintain exceptional standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and presentation
Oversee scheduling, staffing, and daily operational execution
Support promotional initiatives and seasonal merchandising
Ensure facilities, equipment, and dining areas remain clean, organized, and fully operational
Financial Management
Manage budgets, inventory, purchasing, and labor costs
Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability
Analyze operational reports and implement corrective action plans
Maintain strong inventory controls and minimize waste
Team Leadership
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
Create a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and hospitality
Develop future leaders through coaching and mentoring
Merchandising & Guest Experience
Maintain attractive retail displays and promotional signage
Ensure products remain fresh, fully stocked, and visually appealing
Respond professionally to guest concerns and resolve issues quickly
Partner with vendors to maximize product selection and value
Food Safety & Compliance
Maintain the highest food safety and sanitation standards
Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company policies
Monitor temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and operational audits
Maintain a safe working environment for both guests and team members
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Food Service Management, or a related field preferred
Equivalent leadership experience may be considered
Minimum four years of food service or retail management experience
Minimum three years of leadership experience
Experience managing high-volume retail food service operations
Strong financial acumen with inventory, labor, and cost control experience
Knowledge of merchandising, purchasing, and operational systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Food Service Manager Certification required
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and special events
