Warehouse Supervisor

If you like running a tight operation, building a strong team, and being the person everyone counts on to keep things moving, this is not your typical warehouse supervisor role. This warehouse supports an entire multi-venue attraction and hospitality property in the St. Louis area. On any given day, you could be coordinating food deliveries for multiple kitchens, retail merchandise, operational supplies, and materials needed for a major event happening that same weekend.

We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor who can take ownership of receiving, inventory, organization, and property-wide distribution while building and developing the team behind the operation. As you learn the property, you'll also expand your leadership responsibilities by stepping into Manager on Duty rotations for scheduled events. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys logistics but wants a role with more variety, visibility, and leadership responsibility than a traditional warehouse position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, handling, and distribution of food products, supplies, and merchandise.
• Build and manage staff schedules while adhering to budget guidelines; approve employee timesheets.
• Coordinate deliveries and distribution of products to departments throughout the property, including materials for events and activations.
• Print and process incoming and outgoing orders accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency; ensure all equipment is available, maintained, and functioning properly.
• Receive, inspect, and accurately record inventory deliveries; enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation practices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct monthly physical inventories; identify and resolve discrepancies proactively.
• Support merchandising and product presentation for retail and event areas as needed.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding warehouse associates; develop and lead training programs.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address and resolve employee conflicts as they arise.
• Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs); conduct daily safety inspections and enforce safe work practices, including PPE, equipment operation, and material handling.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for scheduled events once training is complete.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• One year of post-secondary education or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to resolve employee conflicts effectively.
• Reliable, deadline-driven work ethic with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable prioritizing multiple tasks and communicating across departments at all levels.
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 80 pounds and perform physical work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Available for a flexible schedule: the role starts Monday-Friday and expands to include nights and some weekends as MOD responsibilities are phased in (training provided).
