Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and highly driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy for a 150-room, AAA Four Diamond luxury independent hotel in the heart of downtown Boston. This is a high-impact Executive Committee opportunity for a sophisticated sales leader who understands the luxury hospitality landscape, thrives in a competitive market, and knows how to translate relationships, strategy, and market intelligence into measurable revenue growth.
The Director of Sales & Marketing will take an active, hands-on approach to driving new business, expanding key accounts, strengthening the hotel’s presence throughout Boston and beyond, and further positioning the property within the luxury market. We are looking for a leader who is equally comfortable developing strategy and being out in the market—building relationships, uncovering opportunities, creating demand, and ensuring the hotel remains top of mind with its most important clients and partners.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a key member of the Hotel Executive Committee, this individual will have a meaningful voice in the overall direction, performance, and continued success of the property. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven hotel sales and marketing professional to make a significant impact at one of downtown Boston’s distinctive independent luxury hotels.

- Understand the overall competitive market, competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends and market demand generators, local supply, and demand.
- Function as property lead catcher and business review evaluator.

- Participate in biweekly revenue management calls, providing insights and demonstration of market knowledge, noting unique events and demand dates/periods for hurdle control.
- Participate in sales calls, industry events, and trade shows, as necessary.
- Oversee printed and digital collateral updates, including banquet menu updates as needed.
- Oversee all marketing initiatives.
