RESTAURANT SYSTEMS MANAGER/IT DIRECTOR

FULL TIME

METRO DETROIT

COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus + comprehensive benefits

Ideal candidate:

• Proven leader who has thorough expertise on the back end of setting up, configuring, and maintaining the Toast POS platform
• Experience building POS systems that align with HRIS/payroll systems, particularly working with Toast.
• 3-5+ years of experience of restaurant, hospitality, and/or multi-unit retail technology
• Hands-on experience with major restaurant platforms (e.g., Toast is a MUST, other POS system experience is an added benefit : Aloha, Micros/Oracle, Square, Olo, Par, Punchh, Restaurant365, or similar)
• Proven success leading multi-location system rollouts and integrations
• Ensure systems are integrated, reliable, and scalable across all locations
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and unit-level economics
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Develop and own a multi-year restaurant technology roadmap aligned with business goals and growth plans
• Evaluate emerging tools and trends (AI-driven forecasting, kitchen automation, digital ordering) and build business cases for investment
• Manage the technology budget, vendor contracts, and ROI reporting
• Oversee the full restaurant tech stack, including POS, kitchen display systems (KDS), online ordering and delivery integrations, reservations, loyalty, inventory, scheduling, labor management, and payments
• Lead new restaurant openings from a technology standpoint, including hardware, network, and software deployment
