A sophisticated fine dining restaurant in New York City is seeking an accomplished and experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations. The ideal candidate is a polished leader with a strong track record in luxury hospitality, exceptional guest service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring flawless execution and a premium guest experience.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop staff, cultivating a culture of professionalism, excellence, and teamwork.
- Oversee reservations, guest relations, and service standards to maintain an elevated dining experience.
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue, labor, and food costs, and implement strategies to achieve profitability targets.
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, special events, and seasonal offerings to uphold the restaurant’s culinary vision.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining high operational standards.
- Handle guest feedback with discretion and professionalism, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to support efficient and high-quality service.
- Prepare operational reports, track key performance metrics, and provide strategic recommendations to ownership or leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing fine dining or luxury hospitality establishments.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and coach high-performing staff.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with reservation and POS systems used in high-end dining.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
