Restaurant General Manager – Somerville, NJ
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations at our vibrant, fast-casual restaurant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at building strong teams, and is passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop team members to deliver excellent service and uphold company standards.
- Oversee scheduling, labor management, and payroll controls.
- Monitor product quality, consistency, and presentation to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control costs and minimize waste.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Drive sales and profitability through effective marketing, promotions, and community engagement.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring a customer-first approach.
- Provide clear communication and direction to staff while fostering a positive and team-oriented culture.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of management experience in a restaurant or fast-casual environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-energy setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in P&L management, cost controls, and achieving financial goals.
- Knowledge of POS systems and operational reporting tools.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
