Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow during service.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipe standards.
- Develop and execute seasonal menus, incorporating creative and innovative dishes that align with the restaurant's concept and guest preferences.
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and scheduling to maintain a high-performing, cohesive team.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure proper inventory management, ordering, and stocking of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure guest satisfaction, including addressing any food-related issues or special requests.
- Implement and maintain quality control standards for food preparation, portion sizes, and plating.
- Stay current with industry trends, food innovations, and techniques to continually elevate the dining experience.
- Handle any other responsibilities as assigned by the management team to support the success of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of culinary experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Exceptional culinary skills, with expertise in contemporary cooking techniques and a passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen sanitation, and health regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
