A premier event venue in Staten Island, known for its exquisite setting and exceptional service, is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong sales background, and a proven track record in event planning and catering. As the Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and ensuring that all events exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new catering and event business, including networking, prospecting, and responding to inquiries
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and site tours to contract negotiation and final event execution
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event planning and delivery
- Work closely with the culinary and service teams to customize menu offerings, event setups, and other services to meet client needs
- Coordinate logistics for events, including room setup, audio/visual needs, and special requests
- Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and timelines, ensuring all client expectations are met
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets through proactive outreach and effective client management
- Oversee event execution, ensuring the highest level of service quality and guest satisfaction
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after events to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Attend industry networking events and trade shows to build the brand's presence in the market
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality management
- Strong track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering outstanding client experiences
- Knowledge of event planning, catering logistics, and industry trends
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
