We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Traveling Regional Manager to oversee restaurant operations across multiple locations. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in restaurant management and operations, a passion for driving profitability, and a talent for improving operational efficiency. The position requires travel, especially during the initial phase of overseeing new restaurant acquisitions, with less frequent travel expected as operations stabilize.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Restaurant Integration: Visit newly acquired restaurants to assess operations, collect necessary data, and ensure smooth transitions post-acquisition
- System Setup & Optimization: Implement new operating systems, ensure proper setup, and troubleshoot any issues to maintain smooth day-to-day operations
- Operational Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate restaurant performance, provide constructive feedback to staff, and offer ongoing training to ensure operational standards are met
- Labor & Staffing Management: Optimize labor costs through effective scheduling, utilizing tools like MarginEdge and Seven Shifts, and analyze staffing levels to ensure efficiency
- Team Development & Promotion: Assess staff performance to identify potential leaders and promote from within, ensuring strong leadership and minimizing turnover
- Strategic Decision-Making: Analyze operational data to make informed decisions, addressing inefficiencies and identifying areas for improvement in each location
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Regional Manager or similar management role within the restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of financial management, restaurant operations, and best practices
- Proficiency in using MarginEdge and Seven Shifts or similar tools for managing restaurant operations and labor
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams across multiple locations
- Ability to analyze data effectively, make strategic decisions, and implement operational improvements
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
- Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently, particularly during the initial phase of restaurant transitions
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary: $60,000 to $65,000 per year
- 90-Day Evaluation Period: Performance-based review with the potential for a salary increase
- Salary Increase (Post-1 Year): $100,000 to $120,000, based on performance and growth
- Profit-Sharing: Opportunities based on the number of restaurants managed and their profitability
- Bonuses: Paid after successful restaurant transitions
