An established and lively Japanese-style restaurant specializing in hibachi and sushi is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a large, diverse team. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of high-volume restaurant management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a theatrical and engaging dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure seamless, high-quality service
Recruit, train, and mentor team members across departments including servers, chefs, hosts, and bartenders
Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and performance excellence
Maintain high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and presentation
Oversee scheduling, labor management, and staffing to meet service demands and control costs
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships
Analyze financial reports, monitor KPIs, and drive profitability
Implement local marketing efforts and community outreach to attract and retain guests
Address guest concerns quickly and effectively, maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in restaurant general management, preferably in a high-volume or specialty dining concept
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a large, multi-functional team
Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Experience in hibachi, sushi, or theatrical dining concepts is a strong plus
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
