We are seeking an experienced and driven Restaurant Manager to lead operations in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant located in Staten Island, NY. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in restaurant management, with a passion for delivering excellent guest service, driving operational efficiency, and leading a team to success. This role requires hands-on leadership and the ability to manage both the front and back of house, ensuring a positive experience for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service from front to back of house
- Lead, train, and develop a team of servers, cooks, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
- Ensure high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met
- Monitor and manage restaurant performance, including sales, labor costs, inventory, and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance profitability
- Manage staff schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels for peak business hours and special events
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely, professional, and empathetic manner
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Prepare reports and analyze restaurant performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive improvements
- Support marketing initiatives and local outreach efforts to increase brand awareness and guest traffic
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations for team members
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume or fast-casual environment
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory control, scheduling, and financial management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
