A vibrant and contemporary Asian-inspired restaurant in New York City is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and drive overall business performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in high-volume, chef-driven concepts, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and building a dynamic team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all restaurant operations, including front- and back-of-house, ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable service
- Lead hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management for all staff, cultivating a collaborative and motivated team environment
- Drive exceptional hospitality standards, resolve guest concerns promptly, and foster lasting customer relationships
- Manage inventory, vendor relations, and purchasing to control food and beverage costs and maintain quality
- Analyze financial reports, monitor KPIs, and execute strategies to improve revenue, labor efficiency, and profitability
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations as well as company policies
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu development, specials, and event planning
- Promote brand awareness through community engagement and local marketing initiatives
- Maintain a strong floor presence, leading by example during peak service hours
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience as a General Manager or senior-level restaurant manager in a high-volume, full-service setting
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, drive operational excellence, and manage P&L responsibilities
- Deep knowledge of restaurant systems, food and beverage operations, and customer service best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Familiarity with Asian cuisine and cocktail programs is a plus
