A high-volume, rustic-chic restaurant in Sloatsburg, NY is seeking a talented and driven Executive Chef to lead its culinary program. The ideal candidate is a creative, hands-on leader with a deep understanding of seasonal, scratch cooking and a proven track record of managing kitchen operations, developing teams, and delivering memorable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, execution, and presentation
  • Create innovative, seasonal menus that align with the restaurant's concept and appeal to a diverse clientele
  • Manage and mentor a team of culinary professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency
  • Monitor and maintain food and labor costs within established budgets
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Collaborate with FOH management to maintain seamless service standards and guest satisfaction
  • Lead by example during service, expediting and assisting as needed to uphold consistency and quality
  • Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff, conducting regular performance reviews and coaching sessions
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary background with expertise in scratch cooking, seasonal ingredients, and kitchen systems
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire kitchen teams in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in inventory control, food costing, and kitchen scheduling
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
