Position Summary:
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house operations in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. This role ensures consistent food quality, efficient kitchen execution, strong team leadership, and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and timely execution
- Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep teams
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance at all times
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to control costs and minimize waste
- Monitor food costs, labor usage, and kitchen productivity to meet financial targets
- Ensure all recipes, portioning, and preparation standards are followed consistently
- Coordinate with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth and timely service
- Create and manage kitchen staff schedules based on business needs and labor goals
- Conduct regular line checks, equipment inspections, and quality control audits
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of kitchen team members
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of kitchen management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
