Dining Room Manager – Hillsdale, NJ (New Restaurant Opening)

We are seeking a dynamic and service-focused Dining Room Manager to join our leadership team for an exciting new restaurant opening in Hillsdale, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring strong hospitality skills, a passion for guest service, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing front-of-house team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all dining room operations, ensuring a welcoming and seamless guest experience.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house staff prior to opening and beyond.
Implement and uphold service standards, guest engagement practices, and company policies.
Create and manage staff schedules to balance labor costs and operational needs.
Collaborate with the General Manager and culinary team to ensure smooth coordination between front and back of house.
Monitor guest feedback and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.
Support the rollout of opening procedures, staff training, and operational systems for a successful launch.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Drive a positive team culture focused on hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

2+ years of management or supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to train, motivate, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and building guest loyalty.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience with restaurant openings is a plus.
