Restaurant General Manager – New York, NY

We are seeking an accomplished and driven Restaurant General Manager to lead all aspects of operations at a high-energy, upscale restaurant in New York City. This is a hands-on leadership role for a hospitality professional who excels at building strong teams, driving financial performance, and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team with a focus on hospitality and accountability
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive work culture and motivating staff to exceed expectations
  • Manage budgets, analyze P&L reports, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Ensure inventory management, cost controls, and vendor relations are optimized for efficiency and quality
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Handle guest relations with professionalism, ensuring consistent satisfaction and loyalty
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement efforts to drive business growth
  • Implement systems and best practices to streamline operations and enhance performance
Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, full-service or upscale dining environment
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and operational success
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in staff management, training, and retention
  • Ability to balance strategic decision-making with hands-on operational oversight
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences
