Job Title: Bar General Manager
Location: New York, NY

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Bar General Manager to lead all front-of-house and bar operations for a high-volume, nightlife-forward restaurant and bar in New York City. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong beverage knowledge, financial acumen, and a passion for delivering elevated guest experiences. The Bar General Manager will oversee daily operations, lead the management team, and play an integral role in executing and managing private events and large-scale activations hosted within the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all bar and front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction
Lead, train, and develop management and hourly teams, fostering a culture of accountability and hospitality
Manage beverage programming including cocktails, wine, spirits, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and cost management
Maintain financial performance by managing labor budgets, COGS, P&L accountability, and revenue-driving initiatives
Partner with ownership and culinary leadership on strategic planning and concept execution
Oversee scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, and performance management
Ensure compliance with NYC health, safety, and liquor regulations
Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to drive traffic and maximize profitability
Coordinate and execute private events, buyouts, and special activations; work directly with clients to ensure seamless planning and execution
Act as the face of the venue, building relationships with guests, partners, and the local community

Qualifications:

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume bar, nightlife, or hospitality operations
Strong background in beverage program management and cost controls
Proven ability to manage large teams in a fast-paced NYC environment
Experience overseeing private events and revenue-driven programming
Strong financial literacy with experience managing budgets and P&Ls
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
