Executive Chef
Location: New York, NY

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead culinary operations in an upscale, high-volume restaurant environment. This role is responsible for driving culinary excellence, maintaining consistent food quality, and managing kitchen operations while mentoring and developing a strong BOH leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring consistent execution of menu items, recipes, and presentation standards
  • Lead, train, and develop sous chefs and BOH team members to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork
  • Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to meet budgetary goals
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and kitchen efficiency
  • Monitor labor, scheduling, and productivity to align with operational needs
  • Lead by example on the line and during service, maintaining composure and quality in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Executive Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience in an upscale casual or high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on fresh, scratch cooking and consistent execution
  • Proven experience managing food and labor costs
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse BOH team
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of New York City health codes and food safety standards preferred
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
