Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations at a high-volume, fast-casual restaurant in Somerville, NJ. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, building and developing a strong team, and managing overall financial success. The ideal candidate is energetic, hospitality-focused, and experienced in leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and brand standard execution
Maintain high food quality, presentation, and safety standards
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and labor regulations

Financial Performance

Manage P&L, labor costs, inventory, and controllable expenses
Drive sales growth through local marketing, community involvement, and team engagement
Analyze financial reports and implement action plans to improve profitability

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, hire, train, and develop Assistant Managers and team members
Foster a positive, performance-driven culture focused on accountability and teamwork
Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions
Create staff schedules that balance business needs and labor targets

Guest Experience

Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service
Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
Build strong relationships within the local community to increase brand awareness

Inventory & Supply Management

Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory controls
Minimize waste and control food and supply costs

Qualifications:

3+ years of General Manager or senior restaurant management experience
Strong understanding of P&L management and cost controls
Experience in fast-casual or high-volume restaurant environments preferred
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
