Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations at a high-volume, fast-casual restaurant in Somerville, NJ. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, building and developing a strong team, and managing overall financial success. The ideal candidate is energetic, hospitality-focused, and experienced in leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
  • Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and brand standard execution
  • Maintain high food quality, presentation, and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and labor regulations
Financial Performance
  • Manage P&L, labor costs, inventory, and controllable expenses
  • Drive sales growth through local marketing, community involvement, and team engagement
  • Analyze financial reports and implement action plans to improve profitability
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Assistant Managers and team members
  • Foster a positive, performance-driven culture focused on accountability and teamwork
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions
  • Create staff schedules that balance business needs and labor targets
Guest Experience
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Build strong relationships within the local community to increase brand awareness
Inventory & Supply Management
  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory controls
  • Minimize waste and control food and supply costs
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of General Manager or senior restaurant management experience
  • Strong understanding of P&L management and cost controls
  • Experience in fast-casual or high-volume restaurant environments preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
