Director of Sales & Marketing - Upscale Hotel

This is your opportunity to join a premier hotel as the Director of Sales & Marketing, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of a vibrant, upscale property.

Nestled in the heart of Toronto, our hotel offers chic accommodations and upscale dining just steps from the city's vibrant core. With private meeting spaces and regular entertainment, we place you at the center of it all. We have established relationships with several major Toronto events and host a number of annual gatherings at our hotel.  As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will lead a dynamic team of sales professionals to establish our upscale property as the premier destination for business and leisure travelers, as well as for meetings and special events. Your role will involve developing and executing innovative sales and marketing strategies designed to drive revenue, increase market share, and elevate the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and room night sales goals.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, marketing plans, and business strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and create tactical plans to maximize profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and community leaders to drive group and event business.
  • Oversee day-to-day sales activities, set performance goals, and mentor the sales team.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and sales blitzes to generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of client needs.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
What We’re Looking For
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in 4 or 5-star hotel sales and marketing, with direct supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team to success.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in sales systems is highly preferred.
  • A strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for hospitality.
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
